Ally: Vin’dan Thresher

Growing up in the city was a tough setting for Vin’dan. He was brought here against his will, if you can have a will in infancy, when his family’s clan was dispersed by Dwarvish invaders. Now, he wears long hats to cover his ears, attempts a shoddy beard to round out his chin, and has been tempted even to put tufts of cotton in his clothes to puff out his ropey frame. He is not ashamed to be elven, no not at all. He is thankful for it, admires and respects his lineage, but now is not a proud time. Not while his kind are still on the run.

He daydreams of vengeance or liberation… or home? Vin’dan doesn’t have a word for it if you ask him what he wants or what he is thinking about. He just imagines taking back the woods and seeing his family and extended kin back where they belong. Vin’dan is not out of touch, but his parents do not share the same vision. His imagination has just filled in the gaps of stories told by his father and these fabrications have taken root in Vin’dan’s heart.

He lives out these fantasies in the basement of the house his parents bought after finding steady jobs for the government. He throws daggers he made from honing sharp stones into sandbags. His father taught him how to make a bow once years ago, and Vin’dan has never forgotten. In fact, he is even better than his father ever was at it, though his father will never know. He trains in secret for a one-man revolution he knows will never happen, but it is the fire that burns within him.

Personality Traits: Vin’dan is often caught off guard when other people talk to him, since he spends a lot of time thinking about his passions.

Ideals: Family, independence, justice and fair consequences to actions. If Vin’dan feels as if something was handled poorly, he will go out of his way to make it right.

Bonds: Bonds can happen with anyone as long as they take the time to listen to Vin’dan and his rationale. Though he may not think like everyone else, he knows he can be understood.
Flaws: Though his arguments are always logical, they are based on the emotional. And if that is called into question, he will rely heavily on strong emotions to make his point known or until others back off.
